These grant awards are designed to help communities develop and implement comprehensive and collaborative strategies to address the challenges posed by reentry and recidivism.

John R. Justice Program

(BJA) is seeking applications for funding from the John R. Justice (JRJ) Grant Program, which provides student loan repayment assistance for local, state and federal public defenders and local and state prosecutors who commit to extended service in those roles.

National Officer Safety Initiatives Program

(BJA) seeks applications for funding to improve law enforcement safety, wellness, and preparedness throughout the United States. This program furthers the Department’s mission by enhancing law enforcement safety and wellness and by providing support to efforts, including training and technical assistance, strategically focused on officer safety and wellness needs.
